Three steps. Most of the time is your computer fetching a model, once.

  1. Install it

    macOS: open the .dmg and drag emb3r to Applications. Windows: run the .exe installer.

  2. Get past the first-launch warning

    emb3r isn't code-signed yet, so your system will warn you the first time — this is expected.

    macOS: System Settings → Privacy & Security → Open Anyway. Windows: SmartScreen → More info → Run anyway.

  3. Pick a model and chat

    On first launch emb3r reads your hardware, recommends a model that will actually run on your machine, and downloads it (1.9–9 GB). After that it works fully offline. Then just start typing.
